"Have your medicines properly and take care of yourself, Khushi. Nothing to worry!"doctor consoled Khushi while returning the file to Khushi.
Khushi nodded her head and stepped out of the gynecologist's cabin after hearing the biggest news of her life.
She walked towards entrance of the hospital by taking light steps and got into the taxi which was waiting for her. She sat in the back seat, lying her head in the head-rest and closed her eyes thinking how to say the news to Arnav.
Her thoughts went back to the days when Arnav first proposed her in the third year of her college after being the best friends for the first two years. They were called the perfect couple of their college and few used to feel jealous seeing their compatibility, and some even tried to break their relation. But it always ended them in getting closer than before. Even after getting placed in two different cities, their love never faded. They tried to meet at least once in a month.
It was after 3 years of their college, Arnav decided to reveal about their relation to both the families. Arnav's family readily accepted for their marriage where as Khushi's family objected it in spite of being convinced by Arnav and his family. Finally Arnav decided to get married to Khushi in a mandir and went to get the blessings from her parents, where they closed the door on their face.
Khushi's train of thoughts was stopped by the sound horn of the car, making her realize the traffic jam. Khushi opened the window of the car to avoid the suffocation. There she saw a pregnant lady sitting in a bike behind her husband. Khushi touched her stomach and a tear escaped from her eyes.
She closed her eyes thinking how Arnav and she decided to spend their honeymoon in the country side to escape from the busy cities. Those days were like a heaven and they spent their lives' happiest days. She remembered how they got scared of a bear in forest which came to their cottage in the night, scratching their window and trying to open it. Khushi saw a giant bear for the first time in her life and from then she even gets scared of teddy bear, which Arnav gifted for her birthday. But that night was the most memorable one in her life. It was the day they consummated their marriage inevitably and the day they become one.
Khushi was brought down to the present by the driver when he declared about reaching the destination. Khushi paid for the taxi and took the lift to reach her flat and opened the door. This flat is her little world, where she has seen the best and worst phases of her life. As she walked towards the dining room to drink some water, her mind went back to the day how they bought this flat with their savings and how Arnav surprised Khushi by bringing her parents to Grahapravesh. Arnav was the best man any girl can get in her life. He was the person who brought her back from the depression when she had a miscarriage in the 5th month of her pregnancy. She cried thinking those moments. He was her support at all times in her life. She went to the bedroom and laid on the bed waiting for Arnav and dozed off slowly.
Her sleep was disturbed when she heard some noise and slowly opened her eyes to see her husband standing before her. She didn't know when Arnav entered the home using the alternative key.
"Baby, what happened to you? I called you many times, but you weren't picking the call. Were the reports negative?" Arnav questioned Khushi with a hesitation, cupping her face with a worried face.
Khushi couldn't hold it anymore and she bursted into tears, hugging Arnav. "They were positive Arnav. I'm pregnant"
