It was a sunday morning and while cleaning the study room which is now a full mess, a huge album caught her attention. As she flipped through the pictures of the huge album, she stopped seeing a picture and her mind walking down the memory lane of that day.
It was a birthday party, neither his or hers. It was her cousin Payal's b'day. As usual feeling bored inside, she climbed up the stairs and walked towards the terrace of the house to escape from the crowd. As soon as she opened the door of the terrace, a heavy wind blowed, making a full mess of her hair.
"Ouch!" she cried, rubbed her eyes because of the irritation it caused.

"Wait!" she heard some voice stopping her. She squinted her eyes for a second to look at the source of the voice.
"Woah! His eyes..Anyone can melt for his chocolate like eyes" she thought.
Her eyes didn't stop her gaze, and she didnt know when he came near her and blowed her eyes.
"Over!" he said and she looked at him and smiled.
"Bored with your cousin's birthday party?"

"Bored with your cousin's birthday party?"
"Wait! How do you know that Payal is my cousin?" she asked with an amusement.
"I know, I see you every year walking away from party. You either go to the lawn or to the poolside" he replied with a smile. She was totally puzzled.
"Are you stalking me?" she chuckled.
"Are you stalking me?" she chuckled.
"That was really a bad joke. I came here before you, remember?" She stood still looking at the man who was looking outrageously sexy.
"His thick black hair, perfect straight nose, expressive brows and his physique, it can sabotage any girl's common sense" she thought.
"Hello! What are you thinking?" he asked
shaking her shoulders.
shaking her shoulders.
"Yes, I hate parties. And that too...Come on Jiji is 17 and still celebrating her birthday like a baby."
"So you dont like celebrating your birthday?"
"I do, but not like this..getting whole people in the city into our home.. Just with our closed ones"
"Hmmm.. I agree. just with our closed ones"
"By the way, how do you know me? I've never seen you before"
"I'm Payal's classmate and apparently my mom and Payal's mom belong to same ladies' club"
"Oh! But you could have escaped from coming here. There is no compulsion for you like me, you see"
"I could have, but I didnt want miss seeing you. "It feels good to see you every year on this day" Before she could utter any other word, her phone buzzed making her alert. She answered the call in no time.
"Oops.. Dad is calling me.. Gotta go.. Bye" she rushed towards the staircases but peeped again to call him.
"Hey! Whats your name?"
"Hey! Whats your name?"
"Arnav!" he replied.
"And yours?" he asked.
"Whatt?? You know me but not my name? Khushi!" she replied with a bright smile.
"Come down! Jiji is gonna cut her cake." He joined her and they got attached to each other very instantly.

Khushi took the picture taken in that party, smilingly thinking about the day she met him. It's been ten years and still that night is fresh in her mind. She silently tiptoed to her bedroom and slipped inside the cover.

"Wake up Arnav! We have to go and buy gifts for Jiji. Its her 27th birthday today"
"I'm no more her classmate Khushi and there is no compulsion to attend it, you see"
"But being her sister's husband, you have to attend it Arnav."
