CHAPTER-2

After a long drive from the bus stop, they reached Akash's farm house which was next to Payal's farm house. They both live at Chandigarh at present but came here to Shimla for their marriage. Payal's Dad and Akash's Dad are business partners and family friends from a long time. Both, Payal and Akash know each other from their childhood which eventually made them to opt for the same college in Delhi, where they realized their love for each other. Their friends played a major role in making them realize and that's how they are together now.
During the drive, both Arnav and Khushi didn't open their mouth. They were looking each other through the mirror but avoided whenever Akash attempted to start a topic. With no other choice left, Akash turned on his music system. Finally, he felt relief after reaching home. Payal, who was waiting in the living room came running towards the entrance hearing the sound of car.
"KHUSHIII.." Payal came screaming and hugged her when she saw Khushi coming out of the car. Khushi hugged her back and smiled at her.
"So good to see you back!" Payal exclaimed and saw Arnav coming out of the car removing his jacket.
"Hi! Arnav.." How are you?" Payal asked Arnav excitedly.
"I'm fine Payal'." Before Arnav could continue his answer, Akash interrupted Payal.
"Hey Pagal! How you are here so early in the morning? Are you sneaking out?" Akash asked with a teasing smile.
"What nonsense! I'm not sneaking out ok! And I don't need to do that to come here. Anyways, Uncle only asked me to come." She retorted.
"Uncle only asked me to come" Akash mimicked Payal, making her angry.
Seeing Payal and Akash's silly fight, Khushi's mind went back to the days when she was with Arnav.
*flashback*
"Arnav, Look there! Panipuri stall"
"Khush, No! This is the 12^th time you are eating that in this week! It's not healthy" Arnav said with an irritating look at the puris kept inside the plastic cover.
"Arnav, please come na.." She dragged him till the stall and ordered a plate of Panipuri for herself. While eating she took the puri near his mouth to feed him, but he refused.
"Can't you eat this for me" Khushi said while pouting her lips.
"No! I don't like them."
"No..You don't love me anymore!" Khushi started to act without knowing the consequences.
Arnav's anger reached its peak and he at once took the plate from her hand and ate them one after another while his eyes and nose turned red. Suddenly he started to cough and tears came running out his eyes. Khushi took the plate from his hand and made him drink water. She wiped his face with her hanky, taking him aside.
"I'm sorry Arnav.. Very sorry! I won't force you hereafter." she said while hugging him.
"It's ok. Come let's go!"
"No.. You are still angry at me. Punish me if you want." Khushi started to weep.
"Khush, you didn't commit any crime to punish you. That's ok. All's fair in love.. Even your drama" Khushi smiled and kissed him on his both cheeks.
*end*
"Khushi, come let's go!" Payal called Khushi who was lost deep in her thoughts.
"Let this idiot do anything he wants to.." she said staring at Akash and dragged Khushi with her. "Bye Arnav! Meet you in the noon."
"Bye Payal!" Arnav smiled and looked at Khushi who was looking at him with wide eyes. Khushi watched him till she walked inside Payal's home.

Khushi was welcomed by both Payal's mom and dad while she was still thinking about Arnav. Payal excused herself from her parents and took Khushi with her to her room.

"Khushi, are you ok?" Payal asked Khushi holding her cheeks. Khushi couldn't hold her I-am-so-cool look anymore, "I'm not ok Payal, not at all. Why did I love him?" Khushi cried loudly and hugged Payal. Payal hugged her back and consoled her. "Shh.. Don't cry. Don't cry. Calm down"
Khushi realized what she was doing and composed herself. "I'm ok.." Khushi said while wiping her tears. "Hmm.. go and freshen up!"

After few hours :

In Akash's room

"Sorry Nanav! I heard that you and Khushi broke up.."

"It's ok NK. How are you?" Arnav stopped him in the middle not wanting to discuss about that"

"I'm fine Nanav. And I heard that you have become very successful in a very short time. Congrats man."

"Thanks!"

"Yeah! And he gave an interview for a magazine recently" Akash added.

"Wow! Nanav. Really? You made it!" NK said and gave a brotherly hug to Arnav.

Arnav hugged him back while Akash interrupted in the middle "Guys, mom is calling us for lunch. Let's go down" Akash called them both.

Payal's room

 

Payal was showing her engagement pictures to Khushi in her room. They were laughing out loud looking at Akash in the photo where he was trying to lift Payal. They stopped their laughter hearing someone clearing their throat.

 

"Ahem... ahem.. May I come in?"

"LAVANYAAA??" Both Payal and Khushi screamed together and ran to her.

"Hi Babes! How are you?" Lavanya asked them both.

"We're good and you?"

"Super good!"

"Where is NK? And how did you come here?"

"He is there in Akash's home. I'm just coming from there and I only asked them not to inform you both. Thought of surprising! So, how was my surprise?"

"Very nice. Finally, we three are together after our college. Yayyy!" Khushi said and all the three had a group hug.

"Ya! miss that hostel life a lot" Payal said nostalgically.

"Haha.. and a homesick puppy is saying that" Lavanya teased.

"Hey I forgot. Akash's mom called us for lunch. It will be very good and we will all sit together and eat just like our good old days." Payal exclaimed and took both of them to Akash's home.

They all sat in the dining table with girls at one side and boys at the other side. They enjoyed their lunch teasing NK. They laughed remembering how he tried to impress Lavanya by taking her photographs without her knowledge which in returned turned out to be a disaster and earned him a slap from her.

They all became quiet when Akash's mom came to serve curry.

"Mmm..Food is very yummy Aunty!" Lavanya said smiling enjoying the food.

"Aunty..Nooo! he doesn't eat spicy food. Don't serve that curry to him" Khushi spoke loudly leaving everyone in shock but pretended to be normal after seeing Arnav and Khushi, who were acting as if nothing had happened.
